A boat trailer — getting the size right is what matters most
The trailer's gross weight must exceed the weight of the boat together with the engine, fuel and equipment. A trailer that is too small quickly goes out of alignment and is unsafe on the road, while one that is too large needlessly increases the cost of the purchase and registration. By boat mass
Add the engine, fuel, battery and equipment to the weight of the boat. The resulting figure must be within the trailer's load capacity.
By hull shape
Roller (“Multiroller”) trailers are convenient when launching a boat from a shallow slipway, while bunk-type ones hold the hull better when it stands for long periods.
By driving licence
For a trailer with a gross weight of up to 750 kg, a category B licence is enough. A heavier one requires BE or B96 — worth bearing in mind when choosing.

The frame is made of hot-dip galvanised steel — it does not rust even with constant launching into the water. The step-on mudguards, sealed lights and bearing assemblies are adapted for work in water.
